A HOMELESS man who has been distressing shoppers and shop workers in Ross-on-Wye has been issued with a police order.
Speaking at Monday night's town council meeting in Ross PC Shirley Peters said: "You may be aware we have been having some issues with a homeless gentleman in Ross over the past few months.
"Just to update that - the gentleman has been dealt with by means of a Section 35 notice to remove him from areas where he has been causing harassment, alarm and distress to shop workers and shoppers alike.
"We are trying to prepare full preparation for a behaviour order which will hopefully prevent him from carrying out what he is doing at the moment."
She said the street drinking issues the town faced seemed to be under control at the moment.
