A RESPECTED Wyre Forest businesswoman has been appointed into an influential group of business leaders who help to promote Worcestershire and its economy.

Lorraine Henry, managing director of Bewdley communications firm Henry Pepper PR, has joined the Worcestershire Ambassadors – with a pledge to help promote the successes of businesses across Wyre Forest.

Worcestershire Ambassadors promote life in the county, helping to encourage inward investment and develop the area’s economic prosperity. The group, which was formed 18 years ago, also fundraises for a variety of local charities and good causes.

Mrs Henry said: “Worcestershire is a county to be proud of and an amazing place in which to live and work.

“Becoming an ambassador means I can play a wider role in publicising the county further afield, but also to promote success stories, the contribution local businesses make to the economy, and help to raise much-needed funds for local charities.

“I have also committed to helping the Ambassadors do more to shine a light on the business community across Wyre Forest.

“I can’t wait to get going and I am delighted to be part of such a dedicated group of business leaders who really do make a difference.”

Phil Dutton, chairman of the Worcestershire Ambassadors added: “It’s brilliant to welcome Lorraine as a Worcestershire Ambassador. She is a passionate professional with first-class credentials and her skills will help us in the months and years ahead as we do more to promote Worcestershire as a thriving, successful and vibrant county.”

Mrs Henry launched the public relations business in 2007 and has grown the agency extensively with clients in the local area but also across the UK and Europe.

In 2016, the Kidderminster-born publicist was a finalist in the Wonderful Worcestershire Women Awards, and four years ago was recognised by the national Achievers Academy for Women for her business success.

Committed to supporting young people, she was also on the board of the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Prince’s Trust Committee between 2011 and 2013.
