REDDITCH Round Table recently held its annual donation, quiz and presentation evening.
The annual event, at Webheath Village Hall, is held to recognise local groups and charities that helped the group during the Christmas collection.
Throughout December last year members and volunteers helped raise more than £4,000 for worthy causes in Redditch.
This year local volunteer groups included Redditch Mental Health Action Group, Boys to Men, Redditch Rowan Beavers, Redditch Nightstop, Touchstone, Redditch Rugby Club Juniors, Astwood Bank Cricket Club, Matchborough Scouts, Redditch Explorer Scouts, Headless Cross Orchard Group, and the Astwood Bank Operatic Society.
Mark Williams, the latest member of Redditch Round Table, praised local volunteers and said the evening is a special way to reward local groups and local causes for their help.
"Everyone who attended has volunteered to collect during the cold and wet nights of December and helped to maintain a Christmas tradition in Redditch. We simply could not run the Christmas Sleigh visit without such fantastic support from these volunteers."
Paul Marsh from group highlighted the unique approach of Redditch Round Table to support local causes.
"We are unique as a charity because the money raised in Redditch at Christmas is only donated to local causes and local groups in Redditch.
"It is truly a local event that relies on local donations, collected by local volunteers to help local causes."
