ELDERLY residents in Bromsgrove and Redditch are set to benefit following the opening of a fourth Age UK charity shop in the region.
Bromsgrove MP and cabinet minister Sajid Javid was on hand to officially open the new shop, in Church Street, Bromsgrove.
Proceeds from the shop will help support older people throughout the Bromsgrove district as funds raised are put straight back into services and events for the local community.
The shop has a convenient drop off area for donations, while larger items can be delivered at the rear by pre-arrangement with the shop.
Age UK already has shops in Sidemoor, Rubery and Matchborough in Redditch.
Alison Schofield, chief executive officer, said: "We urgently need volunteers across the organisation, particularly in our shops. If anyone has some time to spare and would like to be part of the charity, they should contact 01527 570490 for details."
