Fans of the popular soap Coronation Street have been left confused after realising an iconic shop has disappeared from the show.

Coronation Street has many famous businesses that pop up in the show regularly such as The Rovers Return, Underworld, and Roy’s Rolls.

However, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that one shop has gone missing from the soap and could not remember what exactly happened to it.

The missing shop in Coronation Street

A fan took to the r/coronationstreet thread on Reddit and said: “I am sure when the set revamped David owned a trendy barbers?

“Did I make that up in my head.

“What happened to it?”

David, played by Jack P. Shepherd, alongside his brother Nick, played by Ben Price, set up the barber shop called Trim Up North back in 2019.

One fan was able to remember how the brothers’ storyline played out and said: “David had blackmailed Nick (who'd stolen £80,000 from Audrey) into giving him some of the stolen cash to start the business which was called Trim Up North; when they were eventually caught out, David decided to transfer ownership to Audrey to make amends, also forcing Nick to sign over his share.

“Audrey put Maria in charge but eventually in 2023 Audrey was forced to sell Trim Up North as she urgently needed the money to buy back her home after she was conned by Stephen.”

Another person added: “It lasted for about 4 years which is a fair amount of time for a set, though nowhere near as long as some of the other ones.”

After selling the business, David went to work in his grandma’s salon.
