Paul Chuckle pays heartfelt tribute to brother Barry

He marked eight years since his comedy partner’s passing with a post on social media.

Paul, 78, posted a photograph of the pair sharing a block labelled 'to me, to you'—a nod to their iconic catchphrase from the long-running children’s show ChuckleVision.

He said: "It’s been eight years now but seems like yesterday… Miss you Baz."

Paul and Barry rose to fame as the Chuckle Brothers, a beloved comedy duo who became household names through ChuckleVision.

The show ran for 21 series from 1987 to 2009.

Barry died of bone cancer in 2018 at the age of 73.

Rotherham’s comedy duo first gained attention after winning Opportunity Knocks in 1967 and went on to enjoy more than five decades in entertainment

They performed on stage, television, and in venues across the UK, including theatres, nightclubs and student events.

Tributes paid to Barry Chuckle on 8th anniversary of his death

Actress and writer Sue Vincent, who appeared alongside Paul in The Madame Blanc Mysteries, was among those who commented on the tribute, writing: "So much love my darling dad."

Fans also posted words of support.

One commented: "He'll always be here and he'll always make us chuckle."

Another added: "You were both a huge part of my childhood. Sending you a massive hug."

A third person said: "Mad its 8 years saw you both in Butlins as a kid and you were brilliant.

"Thanks for the childhood memories."

Paul has previously described Barry’s death as "devastating," comparing the loss to "like losing my right arm."

In recent years, Paul has become a supporter of Marie Curie, the charity that provided end-of-life care for his brother.

He was awarded an MBE in the King’s New Year Honours for his services to charity.

In 2008, the Chuckle Brothers received a special award at the Bafta Children’s Awards.
