Walkers discontinues Prawn Cocktail Quavers for second time

Along with its core range, Walkers is responsible for products including Wotsits, Quavers, Monster Munch, Squares and Bugles, as well as various ranges like Max and Sensations.

Several products have been discontinued by Walkers recently, including:

• Worcester Sauce Crisps
• Salt and Vinegar Quavers
• Max Strong Hotsauce Blaze Crisps 
• Marmite Crisps
• Max Wasabi Peanuts
• Sensations Streetmix

While late last month, Walkers revealed its Max Pizza Hut Texan BBQ and Pepperoni Feast Crisps had also been axed.

Walkers discontinues 'incredible' Quavers flavour for the second time

Now, Walkers has confirmed its Prawn Cocktail Quavers have also been discontinued, for the second time.

The popular Quavers flavour was re-introduced to the UK back in 2021, having previously been discontinued in 2012.

One fan, posting on X (formerly Twitter), said: "@walkers_crisps Have you discontinued prawn cocktail quavers? Please say no! I can't find them anywhere."

Walkers Crisps replied saying: "We’ll try break this news gently… sadly Prawn Cocktail Quavers are no-longer part of our range."

The shopper, sad to hear the news, added: "They are my favourites. I really hope you bring them back (again) in the future."

Walkers Crisps has been contacted for further comment.

Walkers' Prawn Cocktail Quavers had proved popular among Brits, being described by some as "incredible".

Even major supermarkets recommended trying Prawn Cocktail Quavers.

Tesco, on X, said: "Have you ever tried the prawn cocktail quavers? They are really good!!!!"

New Walkers crisps released in 2025

But it's not been all bad news for fans of Walkers Crisps, with a range of new products launched in 2025, including:

• Walkers Extra Flamin’ Hot flavour crisps
• Worcester Sauce crisps  (relaunch after they were previously discontinued)
• Red Leicester Cheese Quavers
• Sticky Teriyaki and Masala Chicken Crisps

Walkers MAX GDK Chicken Kebab and Beef Kebab Crisps, in collaboration with restaurant chain German Doner Kebab, were also launched in the UK recently.

There are also several new limited-edition crisps being released for the 2025 festive season, according to The Grocer.
