ASDA Redditch recently presented cheques to local good causes as part of the store's Green Token Scheme.
Every three months three local charities or good causes are nominated by staff, customers are given green tokens at the till and given the opportunity to vote for their favoured group.
Redditch Mental Health Support Group recently won and was given £500.
The community group consists of adults who have had first hand experience of mental health services, and now want to make help others.
It has been running since June 2013 in Winyates.
Mary Jones, who runs the group, thanked the store and said the cash will help with the running costs.
Second place were Ist Studley Beavers Group which collected a cheque for £200 which will go toward the refurbishment of their scout hut.
Third place went to 1st Birchensale Scout Group, which also won £200 which will provide new camping equipment for the group.
