PROJECTS in Redditch including a planned £85million Redditch Eastern Gateway, the development of a 90,000 square foot warehouse at Moons Moat, and the Kingfisher's Hub are playing a key role as the region forges ahead as the place to invest.
Current and planned investment in North Worcestershire – including Redditch – totals almost £350million, new research has revealed.
Public and private sector projects in and around the town will be highlighted at a business event, organised by by North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration (NWEDR), which provides economic development and regeneration services.
The event, featuring a specially filmed video by Lord Digby Jones, will hear the area has built a foundation on which a long-term legacy can be built.
Bill Hartnett, leader of Redditch Borough Council, said: “We are pleased to be a part of NWEDR because not only is North Worcestershire a great environment in which to do business, but, through the partnership we can provide support to Redditch businesses so they can invest and grow.
“North Worcestershire is ideally placed near a host of major motorway networks and, as well as links to the Black Country and Birmingham conurbation, the economy has a strong manufacturing base, supporting more than 18,000 jobs.”
The business event, which is free and on a first come first served basis, is at Avoncroft Museum in Bromsgrove on Thursday, March 19.
