A SUSPECT has been placed on police bail after an officer was assaulted in Wythall on the weekend.
PC Fulford, who says he was assaulted, shared details of the incident on Twitter which happened on Saturday (May 23).
Officers from Alvechurch and Wythall Safer Neighbourhood Team dealt with a domestic incident at 10pm that night.

They arrived within two minutes of being called and witnessed damage and assaults.
When police arrested the suspect, PC Fulford says he was then assaulted.
The suspect was sprayed with PAVA spray and restrained before being taken into custody.
Following a police interview, the suspect was placed on police bail for 28 days for the Crown Prosecution Service to provide advice about charging.
Following the assault, Chief Inspector Ed Hancox tweeted to PC Fulford: "I hope you are ok Dan. I'll catch up with you when I'm back in.
"Thanks for all your hard work in the face of adversity. Please shout if you need anything at all."
