St Laurence's Church in Alvechurch is holding a Christmas fair and exhibition of hobbies, crafts and flowers from noon-5pm. Lunches and teas will be avilable and there will be various stalls in the adjoining Ark church hall. Entrance is free.

The Arrow Valley Band and soloist Sue Troth will be performing at Studley Village Hall tonight at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £7, including a glass of wine or cup of tea or coffee. All proceeds are in aid of the village hall.

A costumed Andrew Lound will give a talk about the heavens entitled Venus:Paradise Lost, including slides, to the Wythall Forum at Wythall Library, May Lane, Hollywood from 8pm. Admission costs £1 and everyone is welcome.
