THE immense job facing Studley manager Lee Adams was underlined at the weekend as the Bees slumped to a 3-1 defeat against fellow Midland Alliance strugglers Causeway United.
All the action was compressed into the last quarter of the game at United's adopted Packwood Road home.
Gavin Mole scored for the hosts in the 73rd minute and further strikes from Chris Bladen - six minutes later - and Mark Smith - seven minutes from time - put the result beyond doubt despite an Andy Keenahan consolation six minutes from the end.
That disastrous result leaves the Bees marooned second from bottom and six points short of the safety mark currently occupied by a Rocester side who also boast a game in hand on Adams' troops.
The recently-installed manager will be chasing an upturn in fortune on Saturday when his side host high-flying Tipton (ko 3pm).
