SINCE being installed as Feckenham player-manager Lee Ross has overseen something of a revolving door policy as he tries to rebuild the confidence for the Millers and build a squad in his own image.

And this week was set to be no exception for the well-travelled Southern League hitman who was trying to secure the signature of left winger Nathan Pulisciano in time for tonight's (Wednesday) trip to Alveston (ko 7.45pm).

Ross is also waiting to learn goalkeeper Craig Ladek's plans after a seven-day approach was received from former club Stourport Swifts.

Pulisciano has suffered a couple of serious injuries since being released by Aston Villa and started the season with Ross at Rushall Olympic, the duo departing when manager Bob Green left.

Since then Pulisciano has played only once, for Midland Combination Division Two outfit Wernley. Wernley manager Russell Dodd has agreed to waive the seven-day notice period and Ross is hoping to pitch the wide man in either tonight or at Meir KA on Saturday (ko 3pm).

Ladek has been approached by new Swifts manager Phil Mullen, who replaced Roy Rencher at Walshes Meadow last week.

It is just a couple of weeks since Ladek - who once walked out on Studley at half-time during a game - was recruited by Ross.

"Craig has more than impressed since replacing Dave Gorton," said Ross, "Phil Mullen has two goalkeepers at Stourport who he has not seen yet and I think he will want to look at them before deciding whether to pursue Craig. I've spoken to Craig and he says he will go if he has the chance of being first-choice at Stourport."

Former Redditch United striker Ross has already recruited defender Quentin Townsend from Studley as his number two as well as signing Damon Gariff from Alveston, Mark Atkinson from Bromsgrove Rovers and Andy Hodgetts - back tonight after suffering a gashed head against Castle Vale - from Stourport.

Going in the opposite direction Gorton and left back Rob Powell have followed Adams to Alliance neighbours Studley and 46-year-old veteran Steve Fergusson has opted only to make himself available as cover.

Sweeper Ross Knight was loaned to Studley at the weekend but is back in the Millers squad tonight.

The new boss has overseen a 2-0 loss to Highgate, 1-1 draw against Meir and penalty shootout League Cup win against Castle Vale before Saturday's 0-0 draw at Nuneaton Griff. Last week's planned home game against Massey Ferguson was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Feckenham have the chance of silverware next Tuesday when they visit last year's double winners Atherstone in the Tony Allden Memorial Trophy (ko 7.45pm).

The Millers were invited to play the fixture after losing to Atherstone in last season's Challenge Cup final.
