BRITAIN took step closer to an Olympic medal after booking their place in semi-finals of the men's hockey.
Tonight's 1-1 draw with Spain at the Riverbank Arena made sure they will meet Pool Group B winners Netherlands on Thursday.
But it wasn't easy for Team GB, which features Bromsgrove's Dan Fox, who went ahead thanks to Ashley Jackson's strike.
But Spain, who needed a win to overtake Britain in the second Pool Group A, hit back and levelled through Pau Quemada.
The Spaniards though pushed for a winner with a series of set-pieces but GB held on.
Britain now face a Dutch side who have a 100 per cent record so far.
