AFTER nearly 40 years of trading Tony's Handyman will close at the end of the month.
Owner Tony Balls, who also owns a store in Barnt Green, will continue to work in the Barnt Green store but will now be able to spend more time with his family.
Speaking about the decision to close Mr Balls, who started in 1972 on Unicorn Hill, said that it had been a difficult one to make.
In 1978 he made the switch from Unicorn Hill to the present location, becoming a familiar high street landmark.
The British Heart Foundation will open a shop in its place.
