Redditch Photographic Society members have enjoyed some exceptional evenings recently commencing with Stuart Lamb’s excellent presentation on the magic of the Faeroe Isles and the land of fire, ice and ash, entitled Fair Isle, Faeroes and South East Iceland.

The following week a mini assignment with the theme Curves was held where members submitted three digital images illustrating that theme, giving them licence to take their creativity to the limit. These images were then informally assessed by members and what splendid images they were.

The next main event was the annual Jim Farquhar Cup Competition, when prints and digital images taken during the summer visits programme, were judged by Mr G Jackson.

Janet Roberts won the print section with It’s A Game Of Cat And Mouse and Keith Watkins came first in the projected digital image category with Dewdrops, which was subsequently adjudged the overall winner of the Jim Farquhar Trophy.

Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings at St Luke’s Memorial Hall, Evesham Road, Headless Cross, Redditch from 8pm to 10pm.
