CHRIS Bloore, MP for Redditch and the Villages, has praised a rural health hub in Inkberrow after visiting Revival Health and Wellbeing Centre to see its work supporting residents.

The Labour MP met staff, toured the facilities and joined a community exercise class during his visit on July 23.

Revival Health and Wellbeing Centre, founded by physiotherapist Claire Parker, brings more than 20 health and wellbeing professionals together under one roof.

The multidisciplinary clinic offers specialist physiotherapy and rehabilitation, podiatry, mental health counselling and tailored group exercise classes.

These include Strong and Steady sessions aimed at falls prevention and mobility support, as well as specialist classes for people living with conditions such as Parkinson’s and those recovering from hospital admissions, illness or surgery.

Speaking after his visit, Mr Bloore said Ms Parker and her team were providing 'a crucial health service' for local people rather than simply running a business.

He highlighted the centre’s role in giving GPs a direct referral route for specialised care and in offering mobility classes for older residents, helping to ease pressure on NHS services.

He also described small, independent healthcare hubs like Revival as 'valuable services in our rural villages'.

During his visit, Mr Bloore joined participants in the Strong and Steady class.

He said: "It was good to be put through my paces alongside the ladies in the Strong and Steady group.

"Looking after our physical and mental wellbeing is important.

"Facilities like Revival give our local residents a welcoming, professional environment, right on their doorstep.”

The centre operates as a health clinic, gym and wellbeing hub, offering a welcoming, professional environment for people in Inkberrow and surrounding villages who might otherwise have to travel further for specialist support.
