Search the Public Notice PortalDRIVERS in and around Redditch face several maintenance and utility‑related road closures in August, as Worcestershire County Council sets out works on key routes including the Alvechurch Highway and local residential roads.

From August 14, major overnight closures are planned on the A441 Alvechurch Highway and A441 Alcester Highway, along with several slip roads linking to the A448 Bromsgrove Highway and Lodge Park roundabout.
The closures, running for two nights between 8pm and 6am, will allow white lining, gulley emptying and barrier inspections.
Traffic will be diverted via Coventry Highway into Warwickshire, The Slough and Rough Hill Drive.
Parsons Road in Redditch is due to be shut between The Mayfields and Mount Pleasant for carriageway resurfacing, for two days between August 14 and August 25, with diversions signed via Mount Pleasant and The Mayfields.
A longer utility scheme will close Dagtail Lane from the A441 Evesham Road for 540 metres from July 27 for 36 days, with traffic routed via Windmill Drive, Enfield Road and Weavers Hill.
Feckenham Road in Redditch (U30327) is scheduled to close from August 17 for 12 days between Tennyson Road and Swinburne Road, to allow National Grid Electricity to replace a cable, with diversions via Windmill Drive, Middle Piece Drive and Birchfield Road.
Access to frontages will be permitted where no other route exists, but motorists are being advised to check council updates, follow diversion signs and allow extra time, as all orders can technically remain in force for up to 18 months if works overrun.
