RESIDENTS in Greenlands and Woodrow have just days left to apply for a place on a new neighbourhood board which could bring up to £20 million of investment into the area over the next decade.
Applications for the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board close on July 31.
The board will play a key role in guiding decisions, setting investment priorities and ensuring that local people are at the heart of long‑term plans for the area.
The voluntary positions are open to anyone who lives, works or has strong ties to Greenlands and Woodrow and wants to champion the needs and aspirations of the community.
Chair of the board, Pete Martin, said the future of the neighbourhood should be driven by those who 'know and care about this community best' and urged people with ideas and enthusiasm to submit an application before the deadline.
Leader of Redditch Borough Council, Matt Dormer, described it as a 'fantastic opportunity' for residents to have a real say over how Pride in Place funding is used to improve their area for years to come.
