SIX weeks of free activities are on offer for Redditch families during the summer holidays.

Redditch Borough Council has launched its Summer Fun programme, running from July 22 to August 27 at Arrow Valley Country Park and Morton Stanley Park.

Cllr Matt Dormer, leader of the council, said: "Summer Fun gives families across Redditch a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors, make memories and enjoy everything our parks have to offer during the school holidays.

"We’re delighted to once again be providing six weeks of free activities and entertainment at Arrow Valley Country Park and Morton Stanley Park."

At Arrow Valley, families can enjoy Glamba drumming workshops, visits from Punch and Judy and a chance to see the National Travelling History Museum.

Morton Stanley Park will feature a pirate treasure hunt (charges may apply), Kaos Circus sessions, hula hoops and bubbles, and a string maze by Harlequins Orienteering.

The full programme is available via the Redditch Borough Council website.
