REDDITCH residents are being invited to put forward a good cause for a £1,000 donation as part of a new Community Chest competition linked to two upcoming housing developments.
Taylor Wimpey Midlands is asking people in Redditch and nearby areas to nominate charities, groups or organisations they feel deserve support.
The initiative has been launched to mark the developer’s Church Rise and Meadow Rise schemes.
Nominations should be made by email to redditchcommunitychest@taylorwimpey-pr.co.uk, giving the name of the organisation and a short explanation of why it should be considered.
Each person can make one nomination, and entries close on July 31.
Taylor Wimpey will choose one winner from the nominations to receive the £1,000. The successful organisation is due to be informed by the end of August.
Sales and marketing director Matthew Kendall said the firm relies on local people to highlight where their donations can have most impact, whether that is a charity dependent on donations or a community group offering practical support.
Church Rise launched remotely on Saturday, June 27 from Taylor Wimpey’s Abbey Grange development in Evesham, with Meadow Rise to follow in July.
