FIREFIGHTERS have battled a blaze involving derelict buildings near a Miller & Carter restaurant in Studley.
The incident took place on Saturday (June 20) at Washford Mills Cottages on Icknield Street Drive in Studley, behind the Miller & Carter restaurant.
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to reports of a fire at 3:26pm.
A Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival, crews found a fire involving derelict buildings containing car parts, vehicles and a heavy goods vehicle, measuring approximately 15 by 30 metres.
"Firefighters used hose reel jets supplied from a hydrant and worked in an offensive firefighting mode to tackle the blaze. The actions of crews ensured the fire was contained and prevented it from spreading further.
"Crews were at the scene for approximately one and a half hours, with the incident brought under control shortly before 5pm."
The incident was also attended by West Mercia Police.
