Crowds flocked to a special homecoming event in Redditch for the FTD Brothers after they completed 33 marathon in 33 days to raise funds and awareness for frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
The event was organised in celebration of Jordan and Cian Adams, who carry a rare gene that causes frontotemporal dementia (FTD), which means they have a high chance of developing dementia in their 40s.
Their mother, Geraldine, died at the age of 52 after developing FTD.
Jordan, supported by his brother Cian, recently completed 33 marathons in 33 days across Ireland's 32 counties, culminating in Dublin, and in the process raised more than £1 million for a number of causes.
The homecoming event took place between 10am and 12pm on Sunday (June 7) at Astwood Bank Cricket Club and was organised by Better Together Services.
Tickets for the special event sold out within a matter of hours, and photos captured by Millie Evans on the day show huge crowds gathering to celebrates the brothers and their achievements.
After the event, Better Together said: "What an honour it was to arrange the FTD Brothers homecoming yesterday.
"It has allowed us to shout from the rooftops about dementia too. We are as passionate as these guys and we need to get more people talking about it."
After completing the mammoth marathon challenge in Ireland, Jordan told the crowd in Merrion Square Park, Dublin: "I just want to say how much we’ve appreciated from Antrim to Dublin, every single one of you in your hometowns, in your counties, come out showing your colours, showing the real Irish spirit, and it’s showing the power of when people come together.
"It isn’t an easy time for any of us, and I mean as human beings, there’s a lot, when you switch on the telly, to be sad about, and I hope that across the last 33 days, we’ve brought hope to people not just living with dementia but we brought hope to an entire nation, because we felt your support every single day."
