BIRD flu has been detected in a country park in Redditch as swans and geese have been found unwell or dead.
Redditch Borough Council highlighted the Avian Flu outbreak in Arrow Valley Park today (January 13), on their social media and are "monitoring the situation carefully."
If an injured, unwell or dead bird is found, council have advised to report it and they will report it to DEFRA.
They added: "If you spot a dead or sick bird in and around the borough please don’t touch or pick up any sick or dead wild birds.
"This helps protect both people and other wildlife.
"Stick to paths and keep dogs on leads.
"Do not feed the birds to stop them gathering and the virus spreading."
