Author Lee Child to appear at Redditch Library event

An author who has sold more than 100 million books worldwide is set to appear in Redditch.

Lee Child will be visiting Redditch Library for a special Q&A and book signing event on April 25, 2026.

The author is the creator of the Jack Reacher series which has sold millions of books worldwide and been translated into 50 languages.

The books have also been turned into two blockbuster films starring Tom Cruise and an ongoing hit Amazon TV series.

Born in Coventry, Lee grew up in Handsworth Wood in Birmingham and is returning to the West Midlands for a special one-off event to meet his fans.

The event is free and offers an incredible opportunity for aspiring writers and readers of the series to meet the author.

Tickets will be available from January 5, 2026.

Organiser Martin Smith said: "This event is part of a huge line-up of free literary events at Redditch Library featuring best-selling authors TM Logan, Tim Weaver, Ryan Stark, and many more to come.

"I’ll be chairing the event myself and as an aspiring writer I’m ridiculously excited."
