The Fire and Rescue crew were called to a property after a man was stranded in a cellar.

Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Redditch Fire Station were called this morning at 8am (November 14) to flooding of internal electrics at a property in Beoley Road West, Redditch.

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "A man was stranded in a cellar with water past his waist.

"The man self-extricated from the cellar and crews used a light portable pump and a sub pump to extract water from the cellar.

"The incident was marked as pending closure at 10.09."
