AN elderly cyclist was airlifted to hospital following a "serious" collision near Alcester.
Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an 80-year-old man, a cyclist, was seriously injured in a crash with a car on the A46.
The force said shortly after 12.30pm yesterday (November 2), a collision took place between a car and a cyclist on the A46 by The Stag at Redhill.
The road was closed while emergency services responded.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.
In a statement, Warwickshire Police said: "We’re appealing for witnesses or information following a serious collision near Alcester yesterday (Sunday 3 November).
"Shortly after 12.30pm, a collision took place between a car and a cyclist on the A46 by The Stag at Redhill.
"The cyclist, an 80-year-old man, received serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
"Road closures were in place while emergency services were in attendance.
"If anyone witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage, please call 101 or email SCIU@warwickshire.police.uk quoting incident number 145 of 2 November 2025."
