A man has died following an incident near a shopping centre in Redditch.

West Mercia Police said emergency services were called to car park 2 near Kingfisher Shopping Centre on Silver Street at around 5.25pm yesterday (Saturday, September 20) following reports of a man who was seriously injured.

The man, who was aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, but officers are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.

There had been reports yesterday regarding a large emergency service presence at the shopping centre, including an air ambulance.

Detective Inspector Lisa Tibbits said: "First and foremost, our thoughts are with the family of the man who has sadly died.

"To help with our enquiries into how the man suffered his injuries, we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident. We are not treating the death as suspicious. We would also like to speak to anyone who may have used the car park around 5pm to get in touch, or anyone who has any dashcam footage.

"Anyone with information is asked to email Detective Sergeant Matt Robinson on matthew.robinson@westmercia.police.uk quoting incident 378i of September 20, 2025."
