A NEW community led art project is set to brighten the entrance of the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
Reimagine Redditch and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity are collaborating to create an installation named WELCOME at the front of the hospital.
The project is funded by the charity, Reimagine Redditch, Arts in Redditch and Arts Council England.
Richard Haynes, director of communications and engagement for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "We know that coming to hospital can be a stressful experience, so by taking a co-design approach with patients, visitors, staff and members of our local community, we aim to revitalise the main entrance to the Alexandra Hospital and make it a more welcoming space for everyone who uses the hospital."
The artwork is to be shaped by staff and the Woodrow community.
Co-creation workshops will be held once an artist is appointed and the installation is planned to take place in the New Year.
