A FOOTBALL club has invited people with Parkinson's to try out a new walking football session.
This is being run by the Alvechurch FC Community Foundation every Monday from 4pm to 5pm at The Hayes, Redditch Road, Kings Norton.
No previous football experience is needed, and carers and relatives are welcome to watch or join in.
The sessions are designed to be a fun and friendly way for local people living with Parkinson's or similar neurological conditions to get active.
The foundation said that walking football can have many benefits for people living with neurological, or long term health conditions, including better balance and coordination and improved strength.
Mark Fogarty from the Alvechurch FC Community Foundation said: "This is a great opportunity to bring people with Parkinson’s together in a relaxed and enjoyable way, to help everyone play the game we all love and enjoy the social activities that the beautiful game brings."
