A BOOKKEEPER has admitted to defrauding a family-run business out of more than £678,000.
Donna Marie Rowand, aged 47, admitted to siphoning £678,636.73 from Concept Display Systems Ltd's bank account into the accounts of false companies she'd created with her own bank details.
She admitted false accounting by falsifying an account, namely Morells Wood, New Wold Timber, Midland Drivers, Poole Joinery, GM Watson, Four Speed, Vitality Health, Donna Chaffin, Arnold Laver, Hafele, Plymouth CC, Lankies Refurb, W Gadsby & Son, Worcs Steels, Acrylux, SDM, Studley Glass, BDC, RBC, Ben Collings and Avon Freight.
She also admitted a second charge of fraud by false representation by fraudulently siphoning £678,636.73 from Concept Display Systems Ltd's bank account into the falsely-made supplier accounts with the intent to gain.
The business had offices in Bromsgrove, Redditch and Plymouth.
Rowand, of Kemble Street, Redditch, admitted the two charges at Redditch Justice Centre on August 18.
A pre-sentence report has been ordered and she is due to be sentenced for the offences on Monday, October 6.
Worcester Crown Court confirmed Rowand also pleaded not guilty to a third charge of transferring criminal property.
The charge accused Rowand of transferring money from Concept Display Systems Ltd into her bank account by creating false company accounts, and then using the money to purchase goods and transfer money to other bank accounts.
The next hearing in relation to that charge is set to be held on Monday, October 6 at a time and place to be fixed.
