Easemore House in Redditch plan to build up to 13 new homes

The application, which was submitted by Wychbury Developments to Redditch Borough Council, would see up to 13 new homes built at Easemore House on Easemore Road. 

The proposal would also see the demolition of existing buildings, including offices, at the site to make way for the new homes. 

The site was previously a community centre and dance studio and is currently used by Community House Redditch as offices and a meeting place and training hall.

In the planning statement, the applicant said: "All of the dwellings will be two-storey in height with architectural detailing such as chimneys, porches, stone or brick lintels and segmental brick arches.  

"The existing Green Infrastructure in and around the periphery of the site will be retained and safeguarded.  

"The creation of a number of gardens within the site will result in an overall enhancement through the increase in the amount of green spaces and corridors within the site and in turn enhance natural heritage and wildlife habitats. "

According to the application, there will be two two-bed homes, five three-bed homes and six four-bed homes. 

There will be 26 car parking spaces provided which is a reduction of 14 from the 40 spaces currently at the site. 

The applicant added: "The scheme incorporates a mix of open market house types which are comfortable, functional, accessible, efficient, light and airy and that positively address the streets and spaces.

"The site is close to local facilities and has good links to those further afield.

"The proposed development represents a sensible proposition in an established and sustainable location. It will provide much-needed new housing with long lasting benefits for the local area."
