RESIDENTS are invited to come along to the popular Green Fair taking place this summer. 

The event is set to return to Arrow Valley Countryside Park later this summer in partnership with the Redditch Lions to give residents the chance to enjoy the park as well as a variety of different stalls and entertainment.

The fair will be host to Punch and Judy puppet shows, a wildlife craft workshop hosted by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, a circus skills workshop, and an arts and crafts activity bus.

Portfolio holder for leisure, councillor Juliet Barker Smith, said: “We are excited for the annual return of the Green Fair to Arrow Valley Countryside Centre.

"This year’s event is packed full of great activities for people of all ages and stalls giving local businesses and creatives the chance to showcase their work and talents.”

The fair is set to return on Sunday, July 7 from 11am till 4pm at Arrow Valley Countryside Centre.

Halfords, who have headquarters in Redditch, will be in attendance offering free repairs for bikes to promote cycling as a form of transport in the town, as well as sharing details of their cycle2work scheme which can be accessed by employees working at participating companies.

There will also be a variety of community stands, local crafts stalls, and other live entertainment.

Leader of the Council councillor Joe Baker, said: “The Green Fair is an excellent Summer event which always proves to be popular amongst residents of all ages and I am delighted to see it return to Arrow Valley Countryside Centre for another year.

"We are pleased to be working in partnership with the Redditch Lions on this year’s event and look forward to attending.”

The fair will be free to enter with no need to book.
