A business in Bromsgrove is set to host a charity football event in memory of a staff member's mum who tragically lost her life to Motor Neurone Disease.

AFH Wealth Management is inviting residents to attend its charity football match to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

The financial planning firm will be pitting its office-based employees against its team of financial advisors during the match as well as organising a BBQ, bouncy castle, face painting for children and a fully stocked bar.

The charity was chosen by AFH's Millie Britton, whose mother Claire was sadly diagnosed with MND shortly before her 50th birthday in late 2020.

Claire sadly passed away this year with AFH doing all they can to support MNDA in her memory.

Jenny Read, AFH Wealth Management's people engagement and experience manager, said: "We're really looking forward to a fantastic day of sporting action, but even if football isn't for you, there's something for the whole family.

"This is bound to be a great day supporting a great cause so please come along if you can."

The charity match is set to take place on Saturday, June 22 at Valley Stadium, the home of Redditch United Football Club.

Guests are welcome to arrive from 12pm with kick-off scheduled for 1pm.

Every penny raised on the day will be donated to MNDA, AFH Wealth Management's charity of the year.

MNDA focuses on improving access to care and research and they campaign for people living with or those affected by Motor Neurone Disease.

Tickets to the match cost £5 with family tickets available to purchase for £20 for five people.
