A man has absconded from an Aylesbury prison with Thames Valley Police calling on members of the public to ‘not to approach him’.
Sean Downes, 34, escaped HMP Springhill on Sunday, May 5 at around 8.15am.
He is a white man, around 5ft 8inch tall, of skinny build and short brown hair and beard.
He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, a top, a black beanie hat and white trainers.
Downes is known to frequent the Bedfordshire area.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Dominque Muldoon, said: “We are appealing to the public for any information around Downes’ whereabouts, or anyone who may see him to get in touch.
“We would advise members of the public not to approach him if they see him but call 999 immediately quoting reference 43240207664.
“Or if you have information as to where he might be or have previously seen him please Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting 43240207664.
“If you do not wish to speak to police you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and they will take your information anonymously.”
