POLICE say "offences have been identified" after speed monitoring on a busy Wrexham road.

North Wales Police's Wrexham Rural team said officers have conducted patrols in the Llan-Y-Pwll link road, Gresford, Marford and Rossett areas looking at fatal five offences - and specifically speed on the link road.

North Wales Police has a robust strategy around enforcing the ‘Fatal 5’ offences which are speeding, drink and drug driving, dangerous driving including unnecessary risk taking, failing to wear a seat belt and using a mobile phone whilst driving.

A spokesperson said: "Offences have been identified and will be processed in due course."

They added a "polite reminder" to motorists about a new one-way street onto Holt Road from Chester Road in Rossett.

The spokesperson said: "There is ample signage however we are still receiving reports that people are contravening the new one way system."
