Bournemouth Airport is set to welcome a new flight operator shortly as Jet2 has announced it will be expanding its UK business there.

It will become the company's 12th UK base airport and it is expected to add up to 27 extra flights a week in the summer of 2025.

Alongside that, Andrew Bell, CEO of RCA, Regional and City Airports, who own Bournemouth Airport, has shared he anticipates that the move will see an additional 300,000 passengers using their local airport.

Jet's first flight from Bournemouth Airport is expected to take place on April 1, 2025, and will travel to Tenerife.

The airline adds: "In Summer 25 two based aircraft will fly holidaymakers from Bournemouth Airport on their package holidays with Jet2holidays and leisure flights with Jet2.com."
