The Canopies has previously held events organised by Digbeth Dining Club and Redditch BID, and notably was the venue for 'John Bonham - A Celebration Event'.

Its easy accessibility, water and power amenities, and its central location make it an ideal venue for community and regional events.

Leader of Redditch Borough Council, Matt Dormer, said: "The Canopies are an excellent event venue.

"They are right in the middle of the town centre with great transport links, they feel spacious whilst providing a secluded space for your event."

The venue could be ideal for relaxed lunch meets, club meetings, performances, outdoor exhibitions and seasonal events.

The Canopies are free to book and with the addition of new planters, they provide a relaxed ambience. Relaxed lunch meets, club meetings, performances, outdoor exhibitions, seasonal events – the opportunities are plenty to put The Canopies to use.

They offer a range of attractive features including characterful lighting, seating, a stage, greenery, and colourful decoration.

Cllr Dormer added: "Providing spaces like this for free is a really big step towards unlocking the potential of the Town Centre as a destination.

"We’ve seen a variety of events utilising this location since work was completed to rejuvenate the space, which really shows the desire for events spaces like this in the town."

The venue is ideally situated, just a short walk from the train and bus stations, near the Kingfisher Shopping Centre and the Town Hall Community Hub.
