A warehouse in Redditch has been snapped up in a new £2.2 million deal with a Worcestershire property company.

Wulff Capital Holdings has bought the 23,517 square ft unit at 5A Merse Road on the North Moons Moat industrial estate from a private London-based investor.

The firm has also negotiated a new three-year lease with occupier and leading garden furniture company Kettler UK which has used the site as a distribution centre since 2019.

Director at Wulff Capital Holdings, Ben Cowles, said: "This is a good building in a good area. In real estate terms, Redditch is an exciting town to be investing in and there is an excellent market for industrial and warehouse property."

The warehouse is three times the size of Kettler's previous site next door and can accommodate up to 5,500 pallets at a time.

Kettler UK also employs more than 60 warehousing, accounts, customer service, sales and marketing staff in the town making the latest deal welcome news to those within the company.

Ben Truslove, the joint Managing Director at John Truslove, which helped Wulff Capital Holding secure the site, said: "We have a good relationship with Ben and Wulff Capital Holdings and we realised when 5A Merse Road went on the market that it could be a good match for them.

"Retaining Kettler UK provides them with an excellent tenant. It underlines the strong state of the commercial and industrial property market in the area at present and also the value in strong, long-lasting relationships between agents such as ourselves, landlords, vendors and tenants."

Mr Cowles added: "We had worked with Ben and the team at John Truslove on previous property deals. They have an unrivalled knowledge of the local commercial property market and are great to work with. We have an excellent relationship with them.

"We were talking about another property with Ben when he mentioned that this unit was coming on the market. It was ideal for our expanding portfolio."
