A local comedian is set to bring his brand-new show to venues across Redditch this year.

AJ Hardy, aged 38, will be taking his 'Young @ Heart' tour across the town in the hope of bringing the feel-good factor to residents in 2024.

Kicking off on Friday, January 5 at Oakenshaw Community Centre, the first few 'work in progress' shows will be free with each venue housing between 70 and 100 audience members.

There will be further free shows at Winyates Green Community Centre on Friday, January 26, the Windmill Community Centre on Friday, March 1, and Batchley Community Centre on Friday, March 30. All shows start at 7pm.

Mr Hardy said: "There is not a lot of comedy or comedians in and around Redditch, so I am hoping to bring something new and fresh to the town. A bit of a feel-good factor to kick off 2024.

"This is a chance for residents in each of the communities to come and see some comedy in venues which do not tend to offer such entertainment.

"I am excited to try out new material to the people of Redditch then who knows."

Although a number of shows have already been confirmed, the comedian hopes to have a total of 10 venues booked as part of the tour.

For the 'work in progress' shows, free tear-off tickets can be located in Oakenshaw Community Centre, the café at Abbey Stadium or from the community notice boards in Redditch Library and Tesco.
