POLICE have issued CCTV footage of yobs damaging a lifesaving defibrillator box in a Redditch shopping centre in the hope of finding those responsible.

Video footage of the incident, which happened on October 29 in the Matchborough Centre in Redditch, has been released by West Mercia Police.

PC Clarke, who is investigating the damage, said: “I appreciate the CCTV footage doesn’t give a clear view of these individuals, but perhaps you recognise the clothing or maybe the mannerisms of them.

“The mindless damage to the defibrillator is of real concern to the local community as it was put in place to help save people’s lives.”

Anyone with information that could help the police investigation is asked to contact PC Clarke by emailing jamie.clarke@westmercia.police.uk or calling 101, using extension 7733047.

Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111 or by going online to the crimestoppers-org.uk website.
