TWO ex Armed forces members have set up a breakfast club in Redditch – the first of its kind in the area.

James Shotbolt and Nick Walker have launched the Armed Forces and Veteran’s Breakfast Club which will meet at Redditch Cricket, Hockey, and Rugby Club on the first Saturday of every month at 10am.

Nick said: “We've been discussing it for a while now and only recently decided to do something about it.

“So far we have generated a lot of interest and are trying to arrange guest speakers to talk at the breakfast club on a monthly basis.”

Peter Martin, CEO of Redditch Self Defence is the club’s sponsor and has helped purchase advertisement banners and signs.

Nick added: “We believe that the military community will benefit greatly from this breakfast club and we're looking forward to watching it flourish."

The breakfast club is free to attend for all British Armed Forces personnel, serving or retired and a 'big breakfast' for the price of £7 will be available to purchase.
