A TEMPORARY measure has been installed at a Redditch school to ensure the safe collection of children.
A barrier has been installed at Holyoakes Fist School due to parking issues and a number of safety concerns.
Tasnim Koser, headteacher at Holyoakes School, said: “We’re pleased to be working with Persimmon Homes, local ward and county councillors, the leader of Redditch Borough Council and Rachel Maclean MP to find a temporary solution to the parking issue and we would like to thank road users for their patience during this time.”
Rachel Maclean, MP for Redditch, said: “By working together and focussing on what’s possible, a practical and workable solution has been found which will ensure children can be safely dropped off and collected from school.”
The barrier, which will be in operation from Monday to Friday between 2.30pm and 3.05pm, will provide an interim solution until the new spine road opens.
