READERS have reacted with sadness to the closure of an Italian restaurant chain in Redditch town centre.
Prezzo, which was based inside the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, closed its doors for the final time last week as part of a national closure of 46 branches.
The shake-up will leave the hospitality chain with 97 restaurants and about 2,000 staff.
The majority of Advertiser readers said they are sad to see Prezzo go as it was a firm favourite for family meals, date nights and catching up with friends.
David Munro wrote: "I’m going to miss it. One of the few places in Redditch to eat something other than a burger!"
Whilst another reader posted: “Our kids loved going there. Much preferred to than McDonalds. Such a shame."
Su Tunley wrote: "This is another sad blow to the town centre. Prezzo’s is/was the best place to eat in the centre.”
However, some readers say they aren’t shocked Prezzo has closed as it’s ‘very quiet’ and can be quite ‘expensive’.
