TWO meetings are being held over the next few weeks for residents to ask questions and give feedback about the proposed relocation of Redditch Library.

The meetings, which will be held in person, will take place on Tuesday, January 24 from 5 pm to 6 pm and Thursday, February 9 from 10 am to 11 am, and will be hosted at Redditch Library.

Councillor Marcus Hart, cabinet member for communities, and Hannah Perrott, assistant director for communities are set to attend the sessions.

Councillor Marcus Hart, cabinet member for communities at Worcestershire County Council said: “It is important for the county council to hear from residents and for us to gauge what they think about the current library offer during the consultation period.

“These sessions allow us to speak to residents directly.

“We can then share this feedback with the borough council as they move their town deal proposals forward.

“We want to ensure the consultation is available in a number of formats, accessible to all, and that everyone will get the opportunity to have their say.”

The feedback from the meetings will also be included in the independent consultation report findings, alongside the online/paper survey feedback received.

The consultation launched on November 7 and will run for just over 90 days until Friday, February 24.
