THE manager of a Redditch takeaway says 'everything will be cleaner now' after receiving a zero food hygiene rating.

Parks Takeaway on Unicorn Hill was inspected on September 18 and received a zero rating meaning urgent improvement is necessary.

At the time of the assessment, food safety officers found the Chinese takeaway needed to majorly improve their management of food safety and hygienic food handling and improvement was also necessary for the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.

Manager of Parks Takeaway, Kelly Zheng told The Advertiser that she doesn’t know why the takeaway was rated so poorly.

She said: “I have told my staff to do a cleaner job – everything will be cleaner now.

“I’m not always at the shop so I don’t know what goes on.”

A full food hygiene report was requested by The Advertiser but due to ‘ongoing action with regard to food non-compliances’ cannot be released.
