A REDDITCH pub and a restaurant have been given new food hygiene ratings.

KMW Catering Services at Redditch Borough Sports and Community Social Club, Cherry Tree Walk was given the maximum score of five-out-of-five after assessment on August 26, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Redditch's 23 pubs, bars, and nightclubs with ratings, 21 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

Meanwhile, a Redditch restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Dixy Chicken at 76 Ipsley Street was given the score after assessment on August 11, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Redditch's 67 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 46 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

Businesses are rated from zero to five for their food hygiene with zero meaning urgent improvement is required and five meaning hygiene standards are very good.
