A BUS route in Redditch has been enhanced to serve Amazon employees.
The number 62, the Redditch Circular route, will now serve the Amazon warehouse site at Redditch Eastern Gateway.
During 2020 the 62 was reduced to a two-hourly frequency as there was a significant decrease in passengers during the Covid pandemic, says Diamond.
However, now thanks to recently announced funding from Worcestershire County Council, the service will increase to an hourly frequency.
Bob Baker, managing director for Diamond Bus said: “We are hopeful that these service enhancements will encourage more passengers back to the service.
“The funding provided by Worcestershire County Council has enabled us to increase the frequency making the service a much more desirable choice to travel in and out of Redditch.
“We are also keen to support employees into the Amazon warehouse site and hope that the new link here will further grow patronage.”
