A CHARITY shop which has served Redditch for 15 years is closing down.

Boomerang Charity on Hewell Road is set to close its doors once all stock has been sold.

The reuse and recycle charity, which has operated since 2007, provides furniture and goods such as sofas, washing machines, fridge freezers and cupboards at low cost to prevent them from going to landfill.

Volunteers also collect and deliver items for free to those in need in the community.

However, due to a lack of funds, the charity is now closing.

Pauline Thorne, from Boomerang charity, said: “All items must be sold and once everything is gone, we will close.

“All offers will be accepted on items.”

In previous years, the charity has been overwhelmed with donations and has been a lifeline to residents who are looking for a low-cost option to purchase household items.
