AN ALVECHURCH dad must pay nearly £1,000 after driving on the M5 while using a mobile phone.
Serron Harewood of Hollington Road drove a Vauxhall Corsa on the M5 near Junction 3 when he was using a mobile telephone.
The 32-year-old avoided a driving disqualification as the court was told he would lose employment which will have an impact on his four children and partner.
Harewood was fined £320 and must pay £620 in costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
